I’m a bit of a nut for mobile phones. I was excited as all hell when I learnt that Three had launched a 3G service in Australia. Video phone calls, cameras, mobile net access! For a geek like me, what bliss.

Sometime in the future I’d consider moving from using a GSM phone (a Sony Ericsson T68i), to a 3G phone. The phones offered by Three are quite nice. Especially the NEC e808N. Qwerty keyboard is pretty slick, and makes alot of sense considering how rarely I actually dial with the keypad on my phone. I only use it to add items to my address book generally. Since SMS is shit-hot popular in Australia, a phone like that would go down well.

What I really want, is a Sony Ericsson Z1010. I’ve been really happy with my Sony Ericsson so far, so I have alot of confidence in buying another of thier phones. The Z1010 looks slick. Flip phones are just wicked fun. Dual cameras for video phone and happy snapping fun. Lovely. There are some nice big pictures of it here.
